Research Area > Spectrum & Us

The increasing demand for mobility requires more and more spectrum. There is a need for studying how and to what extent this intensive use of the spectrum will change and affect our way of life. How the more and more intensive spectrum use will influence and change our life is a very exciting theme for sociologists, politologists and economists. The main task of the frequency managers is to provide as much spectrum as they can to fulfill the increasing demand.

In the vicinity of radio transmitters, the high power flux density of electromagnetic radiation may cause health problem when homes are located near these transmitters. The results of the latest researches should be considered including the investigation carried out by WHO.

The importance of this subject is growing. Beyond technical considerations, an appropriate regulation process should follow the result of such investigations. Results of investigations and potential hazards must be presented to the public as an educational process using the appropriate media channels and layman terms.

These topics are being discussed in the Forum. Any new suggestions for new topics are also welcomed here.

In the future, all research papers will be made available here, including paper from the Lecture Series. Please check often as page is updated regularly.
